CID Presents Moving Forward With Luke Bryan, Hootie & The Blowfish Events

Destination festival promoter CID Presents has announced plans to move forward with its Mexican destination events featuring Luke Bryan and Hootie and the Blowfish in January, despite the recent cancellation of Dead & Company's Playing in the Sand event.

Playing in the Sand, which was set to take place between January 7-10 and 13-16 in Riviera Cancun, Mexico, was canceled due to the surge in COVID-19 cases across the globe.

Meanwhile, Billboard reports that CID Presents intends to proceed with their other January events at the same location, including Luke Bryan's Crash My Playa, which is scheduled for January 19-22, and Hootie and the Blowfish's Hootiefest: The Big Splash, scheduled for January 26-29.

"As we all know this is an ever-evolving situation and the rise and fall of COVID-19 over the past several months has been outside of our control. We are continuing to monitor the latest guidelines and recommendations from both the U.S. & Mexican governments as well as our on-site medical teams," a statement from the producer reads.

Adele's '30' Remains At No. 1 On Billboard's Top Album Sales Chart For Sixth Straight Week

Adele's '30' Remains At No. 1 On Billboard's Top Album Sales Chart For Sixth Straight Week

Adele has created a piece of history as her recently launched album, 30, stays on top of Billboard's Top Album Sales chart for six consecutive weeks.

It's the first album to top the sales chart for so many weeks in a row since 25, by none other than the "Hello" singer herself. 25 led the chart for seven consecutive weeks from December 12, 2015, to January 23, 2016.

With 1.463 million copies sold in 2021 in the U.S. after just six weeks of release, 30 ranked no. 1 on the Billboard's Top Album Sales chart: a chart that lists the albums, based solely on their traditional album sales.

Its success did not end there because 30 went on to become the biggest selling album of any calendar year in the U.S. since 2018.

Kelly Clarkson Covers Silk Sonic's 'Leave The Door Open'

Kelly Clarkson covered Silk Sonic's "Leave the Door Open" during the "Kellyoke" segment of a recent episode of "The Kelly Clarkson Show."

Clarkson, with a trio of background singers supporting her, turned in an effortless performance of the song with her silky vocals.

"I'ma leave the door open/ I'ma leave the door open/ That you feel the way I feel/ And you want me like I want you tonight, baby/ Tell me that you're coming through," she sang.

"Leave the Door Open" peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in April 2021. The song earned Bruno Mars his eighth No. 1 on the list, and Anderson .Paak his first.

"Kellyoke" songs are often chosen by the show's attendees, Alex Duda, the NBCUniversal-distributed series' executive producer, previously told Billboard.

"I get a list of songs requested by audience members, I plug them in based on episodes and themes - usually a mix of Motown, '70s and '80s songs, current pop to rock and one country song a week," Duda said.

Kelly Clarkson Performs 'Christmas Come Early' From New Holiday Album

Kelly Clarkson Performs 'Christmas Come Early' From New Holiday Album

During a recent episode of "The Kelly Clarkson Show," Kelly Clarkson performed "Christmas Come Early," a song from her new holiday album, When Christmas Comes Around....

"Christmas, won't you please come early this year?" Clarkson sang, with backup support from her band Y'all in front of makeshift white Christmas trees.

Clarkson released When Christmas Comes Around... on October 15 via Atlantic Records. The album features collaborations with Ariana Grande, Chris Stapleton and Brett Eldredge.

When she released When Christmas Comes Around... in October, Clarkson opened up to Entertainment Tonight about how being in "in a different place after the last couple of years" inspired the album, saying she hopes the songs will put her fans in their feelings this holiday season.

"There's a lot of songs on there that aren't necessarily your, like, 'Let's play and get in a jolly mood' kind of vibe Christmas. Some are, 'Let's really feel all the feelings' Christmas songs," Clarkson explained.

She continued, "I think that's why I named it When Christmas Comes Around...because I feel like that's a really good title because when Christmas comes around, we are all in different places."
