AC/DC Share Nostalgic 'Through The Mists Of Time' Video

AC/DC Share Nostalgic 'Through The Mists Of Time' Video

AC/DC recently released a nostalgic music video for "Through the Mists of Time," the latest single from their 2020 album, Power Up.

The video, which originated from a concept from Angus Young, was directed by Najeeb Tarazi. It features footage shot by Clemens Habicht of each of the five band members in five separate shoots around the world. Josh Cheuse is the creative director of the visual.

In addition to the band's impressive archive of music videos, performance clips from "Shot in the Dark," "Witch's Spell," and "Realize" also feature in the visual.

Tarazi and Cheuse got Paris-based visual effect studio Mathematic's support to combine the elements in order to "take the stage together to perform." It gives the effect of AC/DC literally playing a concert through the mists of time.

The video ends with a regal image featuring seven past and present band members - Bon Scott, singer Brian Johnson, drummer Phil Rudd, bassist Cliff Williams, guitarists Angus and Stevie Young - on a Sistine Chapel-like painted ceiling.

"DM 101's parallel realities following the historic tour of this pioneering British band as they storm across America bringing an exciting new sound to the masses, along with an intimate view of a busload of ardent young fans on an unforgettable road trip to the Rose Bowl made this documentary a groundbreaking influence on the reality genre," said Hegedus.

Coldplay, BTS Join Forces On New Single 'My Universe'

British Rock band Coldplay have pulled off the collaboration of the year by teaming up with Korean Pop group BTS on their new single, "My Universe."

Released on Friday, September 24, the lyric video for the nearly-4-minute track features both English as well as Korean verses and speaks of overcoming hardships to be with the one you truly love.

"Darkness used to be more comfortable for me / Within the long shadows (Eyes) / And they said that we can't be together / Because, because we come from different sides," croon RM and Chris Martin before jumping into the uplifting chorus of the song, with the former's verses being in Korean, translated here.

The band have also released several different versions of the song, including an instrumental and acoustic spin.

"Thank you all Coldplayers, ARMY and everyone for giving us this amazing feeling of love and togetherness," the band wrote in a recent post alongside a black-and-white selfie.

"I love them [BTS], and we love them, and it's been such a joy," Martin shared in an interview with Apple Music 1's Zane Lowe. "I unabashedly and unashamedly feel really grateful for the song, grateful for the person that inspired the song, and grateful for the people we sing it with."

Fans can now watch the project come together through a 12-minute documentary released by the band on their official YouTube channel.

In the same interview, the frontman also shared that the band traveled all the way to the Republic of Korea to make the collaboration happen, despite having to go through as many as 13 COVID checkpoints before getting to meet with the group.

The song is set to feature on the band's forthcoming ninth studio album, Music of The Spheres, which is slated to be released on October 15, 2021, and is available for pre-order now.

Alanis Morissette Slams 'Salacious Agenda' Of Makers Of HBO Documentary

Alanis Morissette Slams 'Salacious Agenda' Of Makers Of HBO Documentary

Alanis Morissette has slammed the makers of Jagged, an upcoming HBO documentary that focuses on the singer's rise to fame and the release of her seminal album Jagged Little Pill.

In a statement, Morissette said, "I agreed to participate in a piece about the celebration of Jagged Little Pill's 25th anniversary and was interviewed during a very vulnerable time (while in the midst of my third postpartum depression during lockdown). I was lulled into a false sense of security and their salacious agenda became apparent immediately upon my seeing the first cut of the film."

"This is when I knew our visions were in fact painfully diverged. This was not the story I agreed to tell," she added. "I sit here now experiencing the full impact of having trusted someone who did not warrant being trusted."

Jagged was directed by Alison Klayman and is set to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival this week.

Morissette has made it clear that she will be not attending any events surrounding the release, including the premiere.

"Not unlike many 'stories' and unauthorized biographies out there over the years, this one includes implications and facts that are simply not true," the musician said.

Reimagined Version Of Katy Perry's 'Teenage Dream' Featured In School Gun Violence PSA

A reimagined version of Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream," performed by the victims of school shootings, is featured in a new PSA from the non-profit Sandy Hook Promise.

"#TheTeenageDream is not what it used to be. Watch our PSA, a new version of @KatyPerry's song 'Teenage Dream,'" the Sandy Hook Promise account tweeted and warned that the video contains sensitive content related to gun violence that can be triggering.

Katy also posted the two-and-a-half-minute PSA that shows various young people reciting and/or singing the lyrics of "Teenage Dream." That's followed by the words "The teenage dream is not what it used to be."

BBDO New York and director Henry-Alex Rubin created the PSA, which continues Sandy Hook Promise's long-running message of knowing the signs to recognize problematic behavior, mental health issues, and more that could lead a young person to commit violence.

Sandy Hook Promise is led by the family members of those killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14, 2012.
