American Music Awards To Air On CBS For First Time In October

CBS and Dick Clark Productions have announced the world's largest fan-voted awards show, the American Music Awards, will air on the CBS Television Network for the first time, on October 6, and stream on Paramount+.

The nominees for the AMAs are determined by the fans - as reflected on the Billboard charts - based on streaming, album and digital sales, radio airplay and social activity.

Over the past 50 years, the AMAs have showcased the very best in music and delivered memorable pop-culture moments and powerful lineups, including first-time collaborations and exclusive world premiere performances from music's biggest names across pop, rap, R&B, country, Latin, K-Pop and more.

The 2024 AMAs are produced by Dick Clark Productions.

Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers will have access to stream the show live via the live feed of their local CBS affiliate on the service, as well as on demand. Paramount+ Essential subscribers will not have the option to stream live but will have access to on-demand the day after the special airs.

The Dead Daisies are back in the spotlight with a return to the world stage and the release of new music. The Australian-American hard rock band announced that a new album, titled Light 'Em Up, will be released on September 6.

The Australian-American hard rock band announced that a new album, titled Light 'Em Up, will be released on September 6.

Light 'Em Up was produced by Marti Frederiksen in Nashville.

The lead single from the upcoming album, which is the title track, will hit the airwaves on May 10.

The super group, consisting of frontman John Corabi, Doug Aldrich, David Lowy, Michael Devin and Tommy Clufetos, also announced a World Tour. The tour will kick off on September 6 in line with the album release.

The first leg of Light 'Em Up Tour takes in venues in the U.K. from Glasgow to Torquay and finishes off at O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire in London on September 21. Joining them as special guests will be U.K. band The Treatment and U.S. rockers The Bites.

The Dead Daisies will then return to Europe in November, playing concerts throughout Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic, Belgium, France and Hungary with special guests Beasto Blanco and Mike Tramp playing songs of White Lion.

The band had already announced a U.S. tour that is set to begin in June.

Sebastian Bach Shares Video For New Single '(Hold On) To The Dream'

Former Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach recently released a video for "(Hold On) To The Dream," the latest song from his upcoming solo album, Child Within Man.

Jim Louvau and Tony Aguilera directed the visual for the track.

"If someone asked me to play the heaviest song I have ever recorded, in my 35-year career, I would play them '(Hold On) To The Dream,'" Bach said.

"This song is an homage to two of my favorite things: classic metal of the '70s and also yacht rock as well! Hence the new term yacht metal! I have never heard a song quite like '(Hold On) To The Dream' where the crushing verse is combined with the luxurious chest-hair harmonies of the chorus," he added. "I have tried to incorporate every tone of my voice into this song. For those of you keeping score, I can tell you that my voice hits some of the highest notes of my career in '(Hold On) To The Dream!' Hold on to your seats! Caution: this is a monster jam!"

Child Within Man is due out on May 10th via Reigning Phoenix Music.
