Rumors of a long-awaited Oasis reunion are running rampant on social media. While the beloved Reading and Leeds music festivals were taking place in the UK over the weekend, rumors began swirling about potential Oasis live reunion shows tied to the upcoming 30th anniversary of their legendary debut album, Definitely Maybe, which was released on August 29, 1994. The Times went so far as to cite “industry insiders” in their reporting that Oasis are indeed reuniting in the summer of 2025 for a 10-night stand at London’s Wembley Stadium and shows at Heaton Park in the band’s hometown of Manchester.

Outspoken Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher only added to the momentum of the rumors by suggestively responding to fans’ inquiries about the possibility of a reunion, before tweeting, “I never did like that word FORMER.” And now, Oasis and both the Gallagher brothers’ Instagram pages have all shared the same mysterious post on Instagram, sharing only the date 27.08.24 and a time of 8 am. Liam and Noel Gallagher last performed on stage together back in August of 2009. (Billboard)
