Rob Zombie Shares First Look At Mad Scientist From ‘The Munsters’ Reboot

Rob Zombie has shared another look at his new version of The Munsters film, revealing some of the movie’s cast.

Zombie took to Instagram to provide fans a glimpse of the Dr. Henry Augustus Wolfgan character, which is being portrayed by Richard Brake.

“Here is your first look at Richard Brake on set as Dr. Henry Augustus Wolfgang, Transylvania’s most popular Mad Scientist,” Zombie wrote, adding, “I wonder what he has in store for our new world of Gods and Munsters?”

He hashtagged the post with some of the actors for the film as well: #themunsters #richardbrake #robzombie #sherimoonzombie #jeffdanielphillips #danielroebuck

Brake also wrote about his appearance in the film, saying, “I’ve hung out with Stormtroopers, killed Batman’s parents and popped into the Marvel Universe. But this! This is a childhood dream come true. The Munsters!!! So excited to be a part of it.”

Brake, a favorite of Zombie, acted in three of the latter’s last four movies. The Munsters will star Jeff Daniel Phillips, who has also had a role in every Zombie flick since Halloween II, as Herman Munster, while Zombie’s wife, Sheri Moon Zombie, takes on the role of Lily Munster.

Dan Roebuck, Jorge Garcia and Cassandra Peterson, a.k.a. Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, are also reportedly starring in the movie.

An official release date for the film has not been announced. According to reports, the movie will likely release in 2022 both in theaters and through NBC‘s streaming platform, Peacock.
