English actor James Norton has been cast as Brian Epstein, the Beatles’ influential manager, in director Sam Mendes’ upcoming four-part musical biopic titled, The Beatles — A Four-Film Cinematic Event. Norton will star alongside Paul Mescal (Paul McCartney), Harrison Dickinson (John Lennon), Barry Keoghan (Ringo Starr), and Joseph Quinn (George Harrison) in the films, which present the Beatles’ story from each member’s perspective and will debut simultaneously in April 2028. Epstein, often regarded as the band’s fifth member, played a crucial role in their rise from Liverpool to worldwide fame until his tragic death from an overdose in 1967. Other notable cast members include Saoirse Ronan as Linda McCartney and Anna Sawai as Yoko Ono. Norton, 40, recently portrayed Island Records founder Chris Blackwell in Bob Marley: One Love and has appeared in hit series like House of Guinness, Grantchester, and House of the Dragon. (Variety)
