As far back as I can remember, I have always been me. I grew up loving to laugh-thanks Mom and talk uh..thanks again Mom! A speech/broadcasting/theatre major from BHSU prepared me for a career in radio and theatre in SD, Washington, Colorado and California. I am currently passing on the drama, laughter and meaning of life to my two wonderful daughters. I am thrilled to be part of the Q923 morning crew!
“From the time I was a little kid going on road trips with my dad from Chicago to Notre Dame, I always dreamed about being in radio. Listening to Casey Kasem and making my dad’s ears bleed as I sang along. Music has always been a big part of my life and now I’m living the dream! Listening to classic hits and talking on the radio. Originally from Chicago, there was something magical about coming out to the Black Hills. Now I’m proud to call it my community and my home and hope I get to for many years to come.”
“Hey it’s Craig Russell, host of the “Afternoon Hustle” on Q-923! I have made stops all over the Midwest and now I’m here in the Black Hills to take you home every weekday! Check out the Choice Cut of the day and more from 2-6! And I’ll see you out and about at one of our fine casinos I’m sure!”
I am a native South Dakotan and a long-time resident of Rapid City. I love it here because the people are the nicest I have ever met and the music scene is awesome. I am a lifetime rockhound and gold panner. I enjoy all kinds of music from classic hits to bluegrass to jazz. I am an avid fan of indie movies, acoustic music and dabble at playing instruments for the fun of it. I enjoy being the new kid here at Classic Hits Q92.3 because I really enjoy my co-workers. They truly are as nice as they sound on the radio.
